Thank you for accessing our church’s website. I hope you find here the information you want. Some background for me as the pastor:  I was raised in a Christian home and came to faith in Jesus Christ as a seven year old in the fall of 1960.  I thank the Lord that He convicted me of my sin and convinced me of my need for His forgiveness through His Son.  Upon His mercy and by His grace I have walked with Christ ever since.    One of the Lord’s blessings to me came as I married above my natural station in life when Linno Hale and I wed in 1975.  We have been given three children, one of whom is now with the Lord, and five grandchildren, one of whom is also with the Lord.    I’m a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University, Covenant Theological Seminary and New Geneva Theological Seminary.  I’ve been privileged to pastor Providence Presbyterian Church since 1991.    I offer to you the theme verse my wife and I chose for our lives and ministry many years ago:  “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God” (2 Cor. 5:20).

I am the PTAP (part-time assistant pastor … emphasis on the “part-time”). My wife, Karen and I have been at PPC since the Fall of 2011.  I started as PTAP in January of 2012. I am the older brother of the Senior Pastor and am glad that I have the chance to be of some help to him. I am semi-retired, which is why there is emphasis on the PART-TIME part of the assistant pastor. I have served in three churches in NM.

I have been a member of Providence since 2005. I was saved by the grace of God in 1995. I came to PBPC looking for a church that faithfully taught the Word of God. I stayed because of the grace i saw the church officers and congregation show to each other and the visitors. I have been a deacon since 2008.  “Who were born, not of blood, nor the will of the flesh, nor the will of man, but of God.” John 1:13 as well as “He must increase, but I must increase.” John 3:30 are a couple of my favorite verses.

We moved to Albuquerque from Indiana in 2011 shortly after our first son was born.   Because we were living far away from family, adjusting to new jobs, and caring for a newborn it was such a blessing to become members of the warm church family at Providence.   Recently God has blessed us with another little boy.  We are overjoyed to be raising both our boys in this caring church community.
